American Mini Lop Rabbit Club
Rules and Regulations
ARTICLE 1:
Section 1: These Rules and Regulations shall describe the duties and
responsibilities of appointed committee positions and describe other guidelines
within the American Mini Lop Rabbit Club (AMLRC) that are not incorporated into
the Constitution or the By Laws of the Club.
ARTICLE 2: Sweepstakes Contests
Section 1: This article shall define the Sweepstakes Contests of the
AMLRC.
Section 2: The sweepstakes year runs from June 1st through May 31st of
each calendar year.
Section 3: July 31st of each year shall be
the cut-off date for all completed sanction forms and/or correspondence from the
Show Secretaries to be received by the Sweepstakes Chairperson for inclusion in
the previous sweepstakes year.
Section 4: Sweepstakes shall be tracked as the membership is identified on
the AMLRC membership application. All members must enter the ARBA sanctioned
shows as the membership is identified to the AMLRC in order for the points to be
accounted for correctly. Showing under Rabbitry names will not be allowed.
Section 5: A member must hold a current membership in good standing at the
time of the show in order for the sweepstakes points to be tracked in the AMLRC
sweepstakes systems. New and renewal memberships must be postmarked to the
AMLRC Secretary prior to the show. Allowances will only be made if the AMLRC
Secretary has not processed the membership application at the time of the
show.
Section 6: AMLRC will employ three (3) individual sweepstakes systems in two
divisions. The two divisions shall be Open and Youth. Year end awards will be
issued at the ARBA National Convention. The three (3) systems are as follows:
National Points, Quality Points and Top Mini Lop Points.
Section 7: The National Points system shall be calculated, tallied and
tracked as follows:
Class winner points of 6 points X the number shown in the
class for the 1st place animal
Class winner points of 4 points X the number shown in the
class for the 2nd place animal
Class winner points of 3 points X the number shown in the
class for the 3rd place animal
Class winner points of 2 points X the number shown in the
class for the 4th place animal
Class winner points of 1 point X the number shown in the
class for the 5th place animal
Best of Breed points of 1 point X the total number of
Mini Lops shown
Best opposite sex of Breed points of 1 point X the number
of opposite sex Mini Lops shown
Section 8: The Quality Points system shall be calculated, tallied and
tracked as follows:
Best of Breed shall receive 2 points for each Best of
Breed awarded
Best opposite sex of Breed shall receive 1 point for each
Best opposite sex of Breed awarded
Best in Show (All Breed show only) shall receive 5 points
for each All Breed Best in Show awarded
Reserve in Show (All Breed show only) shall receive 2
points for each All Breed Reserve in Show awarded
Best 4 Class in Show shall receive 2 points for each All
Breed Best 4 Class in Show awarded
Best in Group (All Breed show only) shall receive 2
points for each All Breed Best in Group awarded
An animal awarded Best in Show and Best 4 Class or Best in Show and Best in
Group in the same show shall only receive the Best in Show and Best of Breed
Quality Points.
Section 9: The Top Mini Lop Points system shall be calculated, tallied and
tracked for individual Mini Lops as follows:
Best of Breed points of 1 point X the total number of
Mini Lops shown
Best opposite sex of Breed points of 1 point X the number
of opposite sex Mini Lops shown
The annual tally of the Top Mini Lop Points will stay with the rabbit in the
event it is sold and will transfer to the new Owner. When a Mini Lop that is
competing for the Top Mini Lop points system is sold the new owner shall notify
the AMLRC Sweepstakes Coordinator in writing which shall include written
endorsement from the previous owner. Top Mini Lop points earned on sold animals
shall remain in the division which the points were initially awarded.
Section 10: The National Points system identified in Article 2, Section 7
shall be adjusted for the ARBA National Convention and the National Mini Lop
Show (NMLS) as follows:
Class winner points of 12 points X the number shown in
the class for the 1st place animal
Class winner points of 10 points X the number shown in
the class for the 2nd place animal
Class winner points of 9 points X the number shown in the
class for the 3rd place animal
Class winner points of 8 points X the number shown in the
class for the 4th place animal
Class winner points of 7 point X the number shown in the
class for the 5th place animal
Class winner points of 6 points X the number shown in the
class for the 6th place animal
Class winner points of 5 points X the number shown in the
class for the 7th place animal
Class winner points of 4 points X the number shown in the
class for the 8th place animal
Class winner points of 3 points X the number shown in the
class for the 9th place animal
Class winner points of 2 points X the number shown in the
class for the 10th place animal
Best of Breed points of 1 point X the total number of
Mini Lops shown
Best opposite sex of Breed points of 1 point X the number
of opposite sex Mini Lops shown
No other Sweepstakes Systems shall be adjusted for the ARBA National
Convention and the NMLS.
Section 11: Youth showing in Open will not be allowed to then transfer those
points earned in Open to the Youth sweepstakes division. In addition, all
points earned in the Youth sweepstakes division shall remain in that division,
even if the Youth member graduates to Open division during the sweepstakes
year.
Section 12: The returned sweepstakes report must furnish a complete list of
Mini Lop exhibitors along with their city and state or province. The show
report must include the Best of Breed, Best Opposite of Sex of Breed, Best of
Variety and Best Opposite Sex of Variety along with those rabbits tattoo numbers
winning Best of Breed and Best Opposite Sex of Breed along with the name and
address of those exhibitor(s). The report must also include the top 5
placements in each class (top 10 if ARBA National Convention or NMLS), along
with the number shown in the class and the exhibitors first and last name. The
sweepstakes report must include if a Mini Lop was awarded Best in Show, Reserve
in Show, Best 4 Class or Best in Group.

Reserve in Show (All Breed show only) shall receive 2
points for each All Breed Reserve in Show awarded
Best 4 Class in Show shall receive 2 points for each All
Breed Best 4 Class in Show awarded
Best in Group (All Breed show only) shall receive 2
points for each All Breed Best in Group awarded
An animal awarded Best in Show and Best 4 Class or Best in Show and Best in
Group in the same show shall only receive the Best in Show and Best of Breed
Quality Points.
Section 9: The Top Mini Lop Points system shall be calculated, tallied and
tracked for individual Mini Lops as follows:
Best of Breed points of 1 point X the total number of
Mini Lops shown
Best opposite sex of Breed points of 1 point X the number
of opposite sex Mini Lops shown
The annual tally of the Top Mini Lop Points will stay with the rabbit in the

Class winner points of 7 point X the number shown in the
class for the 5th place animal
Class winner points of 6 points X the number shown in the
class for the 6th place animal
Class winner points of 5 points X the number shown in the
class for the 7th place animal
Class winner points of 4 points X the number shown in the
class for the 8th place animal
Class winner points of 3 points X the number shown in the
class for the 9th place animal
Class winner points of 2 points X the number shown in the
class for the 10th place animal
Best of Breed points of 1 point X the total number of
Mini Lops shown
Best opposite sex of Breed points of 1 point X the number
of opposite sex Mini Lops shown
No other Sweepstakes Systems shall be adjusted for the ARBA National
Convention and the NMLS.
Section 11: Youth showing in Open will not be allowed to then transfer those
points earned in Open to the Youth sweepstakes division. In addition, all
points earned in the Youth sweepstakes division shall remain in that division,
